Overview
Immutable is an Australian technology company building the infrastructure layer for web3 gaming. Their platform — Immutable Play — serves as the central hub where millions of players discover games, complete quests, and earn rewards across a growing ecosystem of 500+ blockchain games backed by investors including Temasek, Tencent, and Bitkraft.
Matt leads an engineering team on Immutable Play, the consumer-facing portal driving the platform. The role demands enterprise-grade engineering: high-throughput real-time systems, performance at scale, and coordinating a distributed team to ship a product used by millions of concurrent players globally.

The Immutable Play platform required engineering decisions that would hold up under the demands of a globally active user base — 4M+ registered players, live quest campaigns with 70,000+ concurrent participants, and game launches driving sudden traffic spikes. Matt owns the front-end architecture, drives delivery of core platform features, and holds the team to a high engineering standard throughout.
The result is a production-grade web platform that powers the discovery, engagement, and rewards layer for the world's most adopted web3 gaming ecosystem — recognised by the Game7 Report as the fastest-growing blockchain gaming platform in 2024.
